Properties are assigned to Information Objects, defining in general terms the kind of information found within the object. Page templates contain areas known as "buckets" in which rules can be created using metadata properties and other object parameters for establishing dynamic links between context pages and Information Objects.
This methodology allows for complete distributed Web publishing throughout a large organization because content providers can work independently, submitting categorized objects into the Web publishing system.
Information Objects can be associated with any number of context pages without duplication of source data. Both context pages and information objects can contain any combination of text, graphics, Flash or Shockwave animations, Java applets, or anything else that can be viewed on the Web.
