EM3.FormBuilder plug-in for iOn

This very popular plug-in adds form building and handling capabilities to EM3 iOn. If you need to create forms for contests, surveys, or registrations, this plug-in is a must.

Predefined question types
Content administrators can create forms with any number of questions by selecting from 9 different question types:

• multiple choice dropdown menu
• multiple choice radio button
• multiple choice check box
• short text answer
• short number answer
• short date answer
• long answer
• e-mail address
• password

There's even a predefined Contact question type that automatically includes name, company, title, address, e-mail, phone, and fax fields.

Data validation
Responses can be restricted for several question data types, and this will prevent site visitors from entering answers that are out of an acceptable range. Content administrators can even specify warning messages if an answer is not appropriate.

Required questions
Questions can be designated as required with the simple click of the mouse, so site visitors can’t leave them blank.

Post form submission handling
Content administrators can specify a message that site visitors see after submitting a form. They can also specify whether to send the visitor back to the page they came from or to a particular URL.

Data collection and reporting
A submitted form's content is stored in the database for online viewing and can be exported to an Excel file with a single click. However, administrators can also specify any number of e-mail addresses to receive a copy of the form's contents each time it's submitted.

Spam blocking
If administrators want site visitors to submit only once to a given form, a "spam blocking" feature can be turned on with the click of the mouse. This is handy for use on contests when users often think that submitting the form repeatedly will help their chances of winning.
