EM3.Archive plug-in for iOn

EM3 iOn versions all objects independently of one another and maintains the standard staging, production, and archive versions online at all times. For many organizations, having the ability to roll back to the previous version is sufficient and it unburdens the server from storing large amounts of content that may never be needed. However, some industries require that certain information be infinitely versioned for auditing purposes. This is where EM3.Archive fits in. This plug-in adds the ability to selectively version a page object an infinite number of times. When iOn moves a new version into the online archive, an offline XML representation is created for the previous version. Users may pull up any previous version with a simple point and click. Because iOn completely separates presentation from content, the older version will be displayed in whatever current templates are available to the object.

Selective Archiving
Administrators may choose on a per-object basis if offline archiving will be enabled, so the content repository and storage requirements do not expand if not necessary.

Workflow Versioning
With this plug-in, each step within a workflow process will maintain a separate offline version of the content. These versions may be deleted when the workflow is complete or may be saved indefinitely.
