EM3 Background– We have walked in your shoes
Founded in June 1993, EM3 started as a consulting firm helping Silicon Valley companies build and manage their Web sites. Managing Web sites for non-technical business communicators’ helped us understand their publishing needs intimately; and helping them evaluate and select existing content management solutions led us to the conclusion that the needs of these business communicators were not understood nor being met. Therefore, we combined our consulting business with a product development effort to build a software solution to specifically meet the business communicators' unaddressed needs.

EM3 iOn, the flagship product in the EM3 Content Management suite, is an application built specifically for non-technical business communicators to efficiently and intuitively organize, publish and update high volumes of information across multiple Web sites. iOn offers advanced workflow, versioning, metadata management, search functionality, user group and permissions management etc., and all this functionality is ready-to-use immediately, without any programming. Look-and-feel templates are based on open standards and require little more than HTML design skills. iOn guarantees a quick and inexpensive deployment. The ability to publish directly and a centralized Web-based administration with drag & drop, point & click interfaces ensure that business communicators can – and will – use iOn. In addition, iOn affords them the ability to distribute access to content contributors wherever they are in the organization.
