Title: Sr. Web Application Developer

Description: As a Sr. Web Applications Developer, you will develop technologies to enhance EM3's Web content management (WCM) system. You will architect and write core Java classes to implement Model and Controller portions of our MVC application. You will also optimize data access layer components through generalized query methods.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

Schema and OO design of new iOn and plug-in functionality.

Creating classes and other components to support EM3's developing technology base.

Providing technical documentation of core technologies.
Working with customers in complex deployments or custom functionality projects.

Key Factors Required to Perform Job:

Knowledge of tools and techniques for n-tier Web application deployment.

Demonstrated expertise in the following systems/applications/technologies/languages:

Win2k, Linux, Solaris
Object-oriented design
Java/servlets/JSP
MVC design and Struts
Memory management, threading, pooling

HTML/DHTML/Javascript
XML schema design
XSLT
JDBC/JDO/SQL

MS SQL Server, Oracle, DB2

IIS/Apache

Tomcat/Resin/Websphere/Weblogic/JRun/OracleAS

Organizational skills for managing research and development projects including documentation.

Attention to details.

Interpersonal skills for interacting with clients, developers, other company staff, and vendors. Ability to interface with a variety of personalities and levels of experience.

Qualifications:

8 years experience in implementing enterprise n-tier Web applications.

BS Degree in Technical field or BA Degree with technical background.

Excellent communication skills required -- mastery of written and spoken English.

Excellent interpersonal skills required. Experience interacting with clients or customers in support or consulting roles preferred.

Detail-oriented with superb organizational skills required to accurately track and manage research and development projects.
